ARE ROTHYS REALLY THAT GOOD

A SUMMARY OF ROTHYS COMPANY

To put it simply, Stephen Hawthorn Thwaite and Rothys Martin of San Francisco (heyoo) started the sustainable, direct-to-consumer apparel company Rothys in 2012.
The brand launched in 2012, but it wasn’t until 2016 that it debuted its first line of women’s ballerina flats.
As of the year 2020, in addition to their signature fashionable women’s flats, Rothys now offers a variety of men’s shoes, as well as sneakers, purses, and even masks. Educators can save money with the Rothys teacher discount.

A Look at ROTHYS APARTMENTS

Scooter Red Rothy’s The Flat was my pick.
I wanted a pair of flats I could wear on the daily that would complement a wide variety of my wardrobe and hold up to my extensive walking.
I wanted some red ballerina flats to use with business dresses and jeans for a more eye-catching appearance.
This is how well my Scooter Red Rothys flats fared when I put them through their paces.

MODERNITY & ADAPTABILITY

Not the company’s dedication to sustainability, but the shoes’ attractive style and versatility initially drew me to Rothys.
The Flat is a standard flat shoe in every way except that it adapts to the wearer’s foot.
My go-to footwear is a pair of ballet flats with a snug toe box (no toe lines!) and a low back heel. The Flat gives you a comfortable level of seclusion without being intrusive.
And the Scooter Red colour works wonderfully with what I already own in my closet.
One may almost always rely on a pair of flats with a deep crimson tint. Because, let’s face it, not everyone dreams of visiting Oz. Even more unexpectedly, this vivid red works well with a wide variety of colours.
The bold colour is a great contrast to all-black outfits or dark jeans.
The Flat is easily adaptable to formal or casual settings. It’s a great accessory that may be worn to the office or on a date.
One of the most important features for me in a pair of flats is how versatile they are. In order for them to be useful, they must complement a wide range of my current wardrobe.
The Rothy’s flats I bought a few years ago are as dependable as they are stylish.

SAFE AND EASY TO BREATHE IN

As soon as I slipped on my new pair of flats from Rothy’s, I knew they would be among the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.
The phrase “they fit like a glove” comes to mind as the closest metaphor. If only my feet had gloves!
The design of the shoe and the snug fit make them even more comfortable than my trusty Tikes.
Because they’re not made of leather, Rothy’s are far more comfortable and airy.
The fact that they are so lightweight and airy makes them perfect for hot weather.
My Rothys reviews flats, which I’ve worn frequently for months, still seem if they’ve never been worn.
My feet have always had a really adverse reaction to trying on a new pair of shoes. These fit like a glove right out of the box, and I’ve worn them for hours at a time without getting a single blister.
Just a note: these might not be suitable for anyone with particularly wide feet or low arches.
If you fit either of those categories, you may want to consider purchasing a half size larger or inserts to help stabilise your feet.
In the sizing section below, I offer extra options if you’re looking for advice tailored to a specific type of foot.

SUSTAINABILITY

Many consumers, myself included, place a premium on businesses that show they care about the environment, and this is something that Rothys has made a point to emphasize as part of its corporate identity.
The soles of these shoes are made from ocean debris and recycled plastic water bottles, making them one-of-a-kind in the footwear industry.
Through its use as a signature thread in their footwear and accessories, they have successfully avoided over a hundred tones of plastic from entering rivers.
Algae-based foam is also used to pad the Strobel boards in their shoes.
Algae blooms, a renewable resource, are caused by global warming.
As a renewable resource, their extraction has positive effects on the natural world, but if left unchecked, they could have negative effects on the ecosystem.
Finally, both the insoles and the outsoles of a pair of Rothys are made from 30% recycled rubber and plant-based oil.
The company has set itself apart by making sustainability a top priority.
The fact that they priorities the usage of renewable resources and engage in environmental cleanup activities was a deciding factor for me.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

If you need to exchange or return your shoes, I highly recommend Rothy’s because they have the greatest policy I’ve seen.
The process of returning the shoes and all associated materials was as simple as filling out a web-based return form and taking them to the nearest FedEx location.
Rothy’s “Happy Returns,” as they are nicknamed, don’t require packing slips or the original packaging.
All you need is the shoes and a smartphone with a QR code reader to make an exchange or return.
There was no relation to the Merrell Moab 2 hiking boots I had to return for a larger size about the same time I got my Rothy’s. The return policy at Merrell is sorely out of date.
They made me pay to return the shoes, print out a packing slip, and buy a new box to return them in (since I couldn’t use the original shoebox).
Rothys, on the other hand, has received rave reviews for how painlessly exchanges and returns may be processed. More companies should be emphasising this, in my opinion.

THE SHOE FITTER

The slip-on sneakers sold at Rothys as praised in customer evaluations, are a versatile addition to any casual or sporty wardrobe.
Not as adaptable as a pair of Rothys flats or loafers for business attire, but ideal for summertime strolls around the garden or exploring a foreign city.
Rothys answer to the popular slip-on style of shoes like Vans and All birds Tree Loungers and Wool Loungers.
On the other hand, if you’re in need of a warmer pair of footwear, I recommend all birds due to the comfort afforded by their merino wool composition.
