Manga is a Japanese comic book format that has become increasingly popular in the West over the past few decades. Unlike traditional Western comics, which are often considered to be juvenile and lightweight entertainment, manga is often viewed as a more sophisticated art form.

While there are many reasons for this perception, one of the most important is the way that manga is produced. In most manga, the story and the artwork are created by the same person, which allows for a greater level of cohesion between the two elements. This is in contrast to Western comics, where the story is often written by one person and the artwork is created by another.  So, why is manga viewed as better than comics? Read on to find out!

1. Manga has a longer history than comics:

Cartooning is a form of art that originated in Japan and is still widely used today. It was brought to the United States by Japanese immigrants who settled in California during the 1880s when the first comics began to appear in newspapers and magazines.

Manga (Japanese for “whimsical pictures”) refers to both comics and animation that are created in Japan, while Japanese comics are called manga (Japanese for “whimsical drawings”). Manga is often translated as “comic” or “graphic novel,” but it has more subtle differences from American comics than those terms would suggest.

2. Manga is more accessible than comics

There are many reasons why manga is viewed as better than comics, but it all comes down to accessibility. Manga is more accessible than comics because of the way it is presented and read. It’s easier to find manga in stores and online, and it’s easier to read in general.

The Japanese language barrier is much lower in the manga than in comics, so if you’re not familiar with Japanese and don’t want to learn it just yet then you can still enjoy this medium through reading translations online or by reading manga in English instead!

It also has a wide variety of genres, so there’s something for everyone. For example, if you’re looking for romance then look no further than shoujo manga or shojo manga! You can also find adventure and horror stories if that’s your thing.

3. Manga stories are often more complex and mature:

American comics are often simple stories with clear-cut heroes and villains and typically end at the same point as their comic books do, with a cliffhanger ending. In contrast, much popular manga series have complex storylines with multiple plotlines and characters; some even have multiple volumes!

Manga authors have a lot more freedom than they do in American comics because they don’t need to worry about making sure that every character looks like they’re supposed to look like their real-life counterparts (although this doesn’t mean that there aren’t any mistakes). They can be more creative with their stories too because there’s no restriction on how much violence or love scenes can occur within them.

4.  The art style of manga is more expressive:

The artwork in the manga is more expressive than that in comics because it includes lots of detail and color. Manga artists use bold colors, odd angles, and exaggerated facial expressions to draw attention to the story’s characters and events. The characters in manga are based on real people, but they’re drawn differently from how they look in real life or even how they’re drawn in anime or games like Final Fantasy.

Their eyes are bigger and their bodies are thinner and more angular; their expressions are exaggerated and exaggeratedly emotional; their hair is wilder and more flamboyant; their clothes are fancier and more outlandish; etc., etc., etc. This makes the manga more interesting to read and allows readers to see things from different perspectives, which helps them better understand what’s going on in the story.

5. Manga has better pacing

Comics tend to be very active and fast-paced; they move from one scene to another quickly without any breaks or pauses between them. Manga doesn’t have this problem; each page takes its time to set up what’s going on before moving on to another scene or chapter. This gives it a much more relaxed pace and makes it easier for readers to sit down and read through an entire volume without getting bored or impatient with waiting for anything else to happen.

To Wrap things up:

Ultimately, it’s all just a matter of personal taste. Whatever your opinion on the matter, one thing is for certain: manga has certainly found a place in the global market and will likely continue to do so for some time.

Some may criticize the style for being too cartoonish and over-exaggerated, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Manga certainly deserves its fair share of praise and recognition as an art form, and if you haven’t yet tried this style, I encourage you to do so—you might be pleasantly surprised by what you find! You can visit online websites like Mangago, Mangakakalot, and Gmanga,  I guarantee that you will find titles that will change your life for the better.
