Cypriot citizens

Introduction

Turkey Visa for Cypriot Citizens must have a valid Turkish passport and be in good health to travel to Turkey. Turkish officials require that citizens hold a Turkish passport and have good health if they wish to visit Turkey.

Since the Cyprus crisis began in 1974, when Turkish troops invaded the island to re-establish Turkish control, many Cypriot citizens have sought refuge in Turkey. In recent years, as the crisis has metastasized, more and more Cypriot citizens have taken up residence in Turkey and even begun to apply for Turkish visas.

This is not simply a case of people seeking safe haven; many Cypriot citizens are now living in Turkey without any guarantee that they will be able to return home if things get bad in their homeland. Furthermore, while some may be legitimately entitled to Turkish citizenship based on their ties to the island country, most Cypriots who have taken up residency inTurkey lack any formal documentation verifying their claim.

As a result, it is not clear how effectively Ankara is implementing the visa application process for Cypriot citizens.

Cypriot citizens who wish to travel to Turkey must have a valid Turkish passport and be in good health. According to the Turkish Embassy in London, other Cypriot citizens or their families must possess a Turkish visa if they wish to visit the country. Turkish nationals are not required to obtain a Turkish visa in order to visit Cyprus, but must do so if they wish to enter from other countries. Turks can also visit Cyprus without a visa for up to 3 months during any 12-month period as long as they are accompanied by an e-visas card which provides entry into the country on a tourist ticket.

Please note that there is no right of return for Cypriot citizens who have visited Turkey previously and/or their family members.

Since the Cyprus problem began in 1974, when the Turkish Cypriot community, which was part of the Ottoman Empire, became independent and unilaterally declared its own state, successive Turkish governments have tried to resolve it through negotiations. In 1998-1999, when the last Turkish president was in power, he offered to move the Turkish Cypriot community’s passport from Turkish to Greek hands in order to solve the problem. However, this offer was not accepted by either side.

On 30 November 2009, after a long delay due to differences over border security and visa requirements between Turkey and Greece, Cyprus’ president said that his country would accept a Greek visa for Turks living in Cyprus if they had valid Turkish passports and were in good health. The new rule will come into effect on 1 January 2010.

Turkey is a member of the European Union and has been since 1995. The country has faced various challenges in recent years, including the refugee crisis. As a result, Turkey has decided to apply for eVisa, which allows visitors from certain countries to stay for up to 90 days without having their visas valid. This program is important for Turkish businesses and individuals who wish to visit their friends and family in the EU.

Turkey eVisa program offers visa-free travel to citizens of over 50 countries, including most of the European Union. The program is available online and through the Turkish embassy in your country of residence.

Turkey eVisa is a new program that will allow Turkish citizens to travel to the United States without difficulty. The program was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 17, 2018. The purpose of the program is to improve bilateral relations and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.

In conclusion

Cypriot citizens must have a valid Turkish passport and be in good health to fly to Turkey. The travel ban will continue until the Cypriot government completes the necessary procedures to ensure that all citizens are properly vetted and have access to essential services.
