Following a steady start in January, which saw a handful of smartphones enter the Indian market, smartphone manufacturers are looking to shift gears now.

This is due to the large number of phones set to launch this month, ranging from Oppo’s Reno 7 series to Samsung’s Galaxy S22 lineup – likely the biggest launch in the first half of this year, Redmi Note 11 series, Vivo’s T1, Pro variants in the Realme 9 series, iQoo, and many more.

Top 10 upcoming phones in India

Let’s take a look at all of the launches of upcoming phones that have been confirmed, rumored, or teased:

  1. iPhone 14 range

Although it is an obvious choice, the iPhone 14 and its siblings are the most anticipated phones of 2022. We’ve also heard that the iPhone 14 Max – a basic iPhone with a large 6.7-inch screen that could replace the iPhone 14 mini – will be released.

Leaks also indicate significant camera upgrades, with 48MP sensors possibly on the way (up from 12MP on current models), and these being iPhones, they’re bound to have a lot of power.

Expect a slew of new leaks leading up to the release of the iPhone 14 series, which is expected in September.

  1. OnePlus 10

The OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro phones, on the other hand, are expected to be released in the United States soon, and we’re looking forward to them. It remains to be seen how well all of this will work in practice, but we’re excited to find out, and we expect the standard OnePlus 10 to have some similar but slightly lower specs, as well as a lower price.

  1. Google Pixel 7

We don’t know much about the Google Pixel 7, but we’re confident it’s on the way – even if it won’t be available until October 2022. We may not see such drastic changes this time after Google’s massive overhaul of the Pixel 6 lineup, but the Pixel 6 reenergized the lineup and got us excited about it again. So, even if the Google Pixel 7 is simply a more refined version of that, we’ll take it.

  1. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The Galaxy S22 isn’t the only Samsung phone we’re looking forward to; the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also expected in 2022, and it could be the best foldable phone from any company, not just Samsung. According to one source, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 could have two significantly upgraded under-display cameras, with Samsung possibly offering the same snappers as on the Samsung Galaxy S22.

  1. Sony Xperia 1 IV

The Sony Xperia 1 III is the best phone Sony has released in a long time, and it has piqued our interest in the Sony Xperia 1 IV, which is expected to be unveiled in early 2022 – possibly in April.

So far, there hasn’t been much information released about it, but one source claims it will use the same 50MP main camera as the Google Pixel 6, while another claims Sony will use a homemade sensor for the front-facing camera.

  1. Apple iPhone SE 3

According to reports, Apple intends to release a third-generation iPhone SE in the first quarter of 2022. The new phone will feature a new chipset, the 5nm A15 Bionic, which will support 5G networks. Despite its small size, the new device will most likely be based on the design of the iPhone XR.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung intends to launch its next premium flagship S22 series, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, in the near future. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be better at video stabilization.

  1. Xiaomi 12

The Xiaomi 12 is expected to have a curved screen with a punch-hole in the center for the selfie camera, a 120 Hz refresh rate and “2K” resolution, dual speakers, and a triple rear camera system with a 50 MP main sensor from Samsung or Sony.

  1. Google Pixel 6a

In 2022, another highly anticipated smartphone is the Pixel. In terms of cameras, the Google Pixel 6a is said to have a dual rear camera setup with a 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP secondary camera.

  1. Realme 9 Pro

Realme 9 Pro is a fantastic performer in the category of the best mobile under 25000 to invest in. This smartphone captures stunning portraits thanks to its 64MP main camera on the back and dual selfie shooters on the front. Realme has also included a powerful processor configuration and an excellent battery setup to ensure a smooth gaming experience.

Conclusion

These top brands are expected to offer smoother performance for playing mobile games, 120Hz screen refresh rates, 108MP shooters, and fast-charging options.
