These gentle creatures tower above everything else with their long necks, so many are big fans of this wonderful animal.
As you probably know, the more pronounced an issue can be, the more difficult it can get.
Even though it may seem difficult, we have this step-by-step guide on drawing a giraffe to ensure the process doesn’t have to be difficult!
How to Draw A Giraffe
Step 1
In this tutorial on drawing a giraffe, we will break it down into several steps to make sure you take it slow and end up with a drawing you’ll be proud of!
First, let’s start with the giraffe’s head. To draw the giraffe’s face, carefully draw a curved line like in the picture.
Once you’ve drawn the face, draw some straight lines with little circles at the end to create the little horns.
Step 2
The next step in drawing your giraffe will be easy.
Giraffes have fairly large ears, so draw a curved line with a point to shape your giraffe’s ear for this step.
Once your ear is hanging, you can move on to the next step!
Step 3
When someone says “giraffe,” most people think of these animals’ ridiculously long necks.
Therefore, your giraffe also needs a long neck, and we’ll add that now in step 3 of our guide to drawing a giraffe!
Start at the chin of your giraffe’s head and carefully draw a curved stripe. Then you can draw another curved stripe from the back of the lead.
Once the neck is drawn, your giraffe’s back will be a slightly curved horizontal line with a tail, as shown in the picture.
Step 4
The long neck is just one characteristic aspect of the giraffe, and long legs are another aspect your giraffe drawing needs.
The left leg, the front leg, consists of two fairly straight stripes with a flat bottom. With a line near the bottom, you can then draw a hoof.
The back leg will look slightly further as hip strength is near the top of the shank. Then add a hoof for that leg before moving on to the next step.
Step 5
In this step of our guide on drawing a giraffe, we will add a few more important elements to the drawing.
First, we’ll start with the legs on the other side of the body. These should be easy to draw as they are mirror pictures of the other legs you drew in the earlier step.
Now the legs are removed, and you can add a face for your giraffe drawing. With a few circles inside each other, you can add the eyes.
You can also use a simpler circle with a dot for a simpler look.
Finally, draw a curved vertical line to create the muzzle of the beginning and then a nice curved stripe for the smiling jaws.
Step 6
You are about to finish your giraffe drawing, and there are still some details to be done before you can finish your drawing with some colours.
Giraffes have a nice polka dot pattern on their bodies, so we will add them to the giraffe drawing using some rounded shapes to look good on you.
Then you can have more fun with other small details like the line in the ears to add depth and grass near the feet.
When you’re drawing your giraffe, you could draw a wallpaper for your giraffe!
Step 7
Your awesome giraffe drawing is almost complete, but there’s one more fun step before you’re done!
For this reason, we will add some colours in this last step of our focus on how to seduce a giraffe.
Giraffes have a distinctive colour scheme of shades of yellow and tan, as seen in our example image.
You can use this colour scheme to create a more realistic-looking giraffe, but you can also get creative with your favourite colours!
No matter what colours you choose for your giraffe drawing, you can also try some new art mediums to colour them.
Whether you use acrylic paints, watercolours, coloured pencils, pencils or crayons, there are no immoral solutions, and you can get amazing colours.
