Important Terms For Women To Perform Hajj and Umrah

Hajj and Umrah are both important religious trips for Muslims, but there is a small difference between the two. Umrah is a good thing to do, and Hajj is a duty. Umrah is only done in Makkah, but Hajj is done in Makkah and the areas around it as well.

What is the meaning of Fard and Sunnah?

Fard means it has to be done, and it has to be done at a certain time. Sunnah means it doesn’t have to be done, and it can be done at any time.

Umrah can be done any time of the year besides the five days of Hajj. If you live in the UK, you can’t do Umrah at any time because you can’t get an Umrah visa from the 16th of Ramadan until the month of Dhul Hijjah (Hajj month). This means that the process for getting an Umrah visa will begin on September 1, 2023. Through September umrah package for couple, people can get help from the best travel agency. With these packages, people from the UK can get the best deals on flights, hotels, and transportation.

Men and women are both required to go on both Hajj and Umrah, but there are some rules that are different for women.

A single woman can’t do Hajj or Umrah by herself; she needs a Mahram to help her with both trips.

Mahram for a woman

Ibn Abbas (RA) told of a hadith in which the Prophet of God (Peace Be Upon Him) said:

“No woman should travel without a mahram, and no man should touch her without her mahram there.”
A man said, “O Prophet of Allah, I want to go out with such and such an army, and my wife wants to go to Hajj.”
He told her, “Take her with you.”

Step by Step Guide How to Perform Umrah

Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry has a rule that says women can do Umrah and Hajj with or without a Mahram.
If a woman is 45 years old or older, she can perform Umrah without her Mahram in an organised group as long as she has a letter from her Mahram saying that she can travel alone.

Ihram for women

Hajj and Umrah have the same rituals for both men and women, but the way they do them is a little different for men and women because their Ihram clothes are different. Men have to wear two white sheets that aren’t sewn together, but women don’t have to do that. For Ihram, women can wear their usual clothes, a pair of socks, and a headscarf. When women are in the state of Ihram, they can’t cover their faces or hands.

Women are not allowed to say the Talbiyah out loud, but men are required to say it out loud. During the Dua and Salat, women shouldn’t raise their voices (offering prayers). During the Tawaf of Hajj and Umrah, women are not required to do the Ramal ritual. Instead, men are.

During Tawaf, Ramal means to walk quickly around the Kaaba three times. Women should do the Tawaf of Hajj and Umrah at the same speed that men do, and they should do this ritual without being near a crowd of men. After the Tawaf, women don’t have to offer two rakats of nafls in front of Maqam e Ibrahim. They can do so anywhere in Masjid al Haram where there aren’t a lot of men.

During the Sai ritual, people run between the green light areas. Men can do this, but women can’t. For Sai, it is Sunnah for men to run between the Safa and Marwa because our Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Sahaabah (RA) did it. Sahaabah are the people who were with the Prophet (PBUH). Women should do this ritual at a normal pace, though.

If a woman is under 45 years old, she needs a Mahram. It’s hard for everyone to travel with each other because the costs of travelling keep going up, so people can get 5 Star Cheapest Hajj Packages and october umrah package for couple with Flights from any travel agency that offers Hajj and Umrah services. So it is easy for every woman to do the Hajj and Umrah with her Mahram.

May Allah give us all a chance to do Hajj and Umrah with the right intentions.
