Malaysian Citizens and the New Zealand Visa
There are a few things that Malaysian citizens need to know before applying for a New Zealand visa. For starters, all visa applicants must have a valid passport. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended period of stay in New Zealand. Malaysian citizens can apply for a visitor visa, student visa, work visa, or residence visa. Visitor visas are typically granted for a period of up to nine months and allow visitors to engage in activities such as tourism, visiting friends or family, or undertaking business-related activities. Student visas are granted for the duration of the student’s course of study, up to a maximum of four years. Work visas are granted for the duration of the approved employment contract, up to a maximum of three years. Residence visas are granted to those who meet certain criteria, including having skilled employment or an offer of skilled employment in New Zealand, and can be issued for an initial period of up to five years.
Malaysian citizens intending to stay in New Zealand for longer than three months will need to apply for a Resident Visa. The application process for a Resident Visa is different from that of other types of visas and generally takes longer to process. Malaysian citizens who intend to study in New Zealand will need to obtain a Student Visa prior to commencing their studies. Student Visas are generally issued for the duration of the student’s course of study, up to a maximum of four years.

Danish Citizens and the New Zealand Visa
Danish citizens and residents can apply for a New Zealand visa through the New Zealand Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Copenhagen.

To apply for a visa, you’ll need:
a passport that’s valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure from New Zealand
a completed application form
two photographs of yourself, taken within the last 6 months

A New Zealand Visa for Taiwanese Citizens
Taiwanese citizens can apply for a New Zealand visa in one of two ways: through the New Zealand Embassy in Taipei, or through the New Zealand Immigration Service (NZIS) office in Auckland.
The NZIS office in Auckland processes applications for all types of New Zealand visas, including student visas, work visas, and visitor visas. The processing time for visa applications submitted to the NZIS office is typically quicker than for those submitted to the embassy.
For Taiwanese citizens applying for a New Zealand visa through the embassy, the following documents are required:
A completed visa application form
Your passport, which must be valid for at least three months beyond your planned date of departure from New Zealand
One recent passport-sized photograph of yourself
Proof of your return ticket or onward travel plans
Evidence of sufficient funds to support your stay in New Zealand (e.g. bank statements)
An invitation letter from a friend or relative in New Zealand, if you have one
The application fee, which is currently NT$3500 (approximately US$115)
