Supermicro, a company whose roots date back to 1993, has provided reliable server technology products to data centers and high-performance computing customers for over 25 years. More recently, their innovative design has put them on the map, becoming one of the world’s leading suppliers of enterprise-class OEM solutions.

We are proud to announce that our latest partner, Supermicro, has joined the IOTA Ecosystem as a Corporate Partner. Since 1993, Supermicro’s product offerings have been based on quality engineering, outstanding manufacturing execution, and global customer support. Supermicro’s cloud computing products are currently regarded as the industry’s most reliable, with a 99.99% uptime and a meager mean time to repair (MTTR) of an average of one hour.

Supermicro’s related service and support are also becoming a big success story. Supermicro has been focusing on small group businesses and many other applications. And since more than 25 years, we have built our R&D teams and business strategy to continue this focus on “Provide Quality Products, Provide Advanced Services, Provide Continuous Development.”

The quality and reliability, Supermicro has been paying great attention to making process automation and products with cutting-edge technology available to customers. This is the core of their enterprise product engineering. And without process automation, Supermicro would have been faced with an increasingly complex manufacturing process. Still, only a tiny fraction of their time could be used for R&D and new product development.

To bridge the gap between existing technologies and future needs, Supermicro has devoted much effort to research and development (R&D). This has led to several significant breakthroughs in power efficiency, thermal control, programmable logic devices for high-density boards, memory optimization, and next-generation storage technology.

Supermicro’s groundbreaking 21″ 4U server, the SuperServer 7049P-E1CR12H, was the world’s first server with integrated GPU for single-CPU systems. The CPU and GPU are designed for high-density boards, which allows the future development of 2S (two server units in 1U) and 4S (four server units in 1U) server solutions. These servers also have high-density storage drives to give customers flexible configurations with multiple options for performance and capacity.

Supermicro’s massive data center solutions for cloud computing are designed for maximum flexibility, quality, and reliability. Supermicro’s H8S family of blade servers and PS series of servers provide the essential building blocks for private clouds and public cloud computing. Supermicro’s data center rack solutions, such as RS300e-S8FT, SX300-TQ, SX200-TQ, and DS818, are critical components in deploying large-scale distributed systems. With its broad selection of server products, Supermicro can provide a complete portfolio of robust products customized to meet customers’ real needs today.

Supermicro Solutions

Supermicro’s solutions are designed to achieve the highest data center efficiency, starting with their patented super dense 1U and 2U server designs, which can support up to 4 and 12 dual-socket servers in a 4U or 6U form factor, respectively. Supermicro has also developed next-generation technologies such as SuperBlade™, which are cost-efficient rack solutions that support up to 144 dual-socket servers in just two near-silent multi-blade modules. Supermicro has developed a new family of Data Center systems, which supports 24 DIMMs of DDR4 memory with capacities up to 6TB.

Supermicro is the industry leader in reliability and is committed to continuously improving its products by working closely with customers and partners to solve the most complex challenges. They have strengthened their work with their customers in developing solutions aimed at dramatically increasing system uptime while reducing costs.

Supermicros has recently launched several new initiatives under their “Rethink Technology” campaign.
