What Elements Needed to Create A Professional Website

Spread the love

For a web page to be effective, it must contain certain key elements. First, it must have a clear and concise message that is easy to read and understand and must be relevant to the target audience. Second, the page should also be well organized, with a logical layout and an easy-to-follow structure.

Some requirements are essential to take into account, and although you think they are a world, they are not. Join me, and I’ll tell you what you need to have a website step by step!

1. A domain

This is an essential requirement. The domain is your website’s name, and it is what is needed to publish it.

To get it, you must pay an annual fee to a domain registration company to have the right to the chosen name.

It is important that you know that the domain is not the web page itself. That is, having a contracted domain does not mean that you already have the page ready. This step is registering the name you have chosen for your company, professional portal, personal brand, or whatever you have devised.

Domain names are important to websites because they are what people type into their browser’s address bar to visit them. They must be registered with a domain name registrar and must be unique, meaning that no other website can use the same name.

2. Hosting

Hosting is a kind of web hotel. All the content you need to create your page is housed here: databases, emails, texts, images, and everything you need to view a web page so that the portal works well and is accessible to everyone.

When you need to create a website, you will need web hosting that stores your site files on a server so that people can access them online. There are many different types of hosting, but the most important thing to look for is reliability. That is, make sure the company has a good track record and is well-regarded by other customers.

3. Defined keywords

There are many important factors that go into the success of a website, but one of the most important is choosing the right keywords.

Keywords are the words and phrases people use when searching for information on the internet. If your web page includes these keywords, it will be more likely to appear in search engine results pages (SERPs).

But how do you choose the right keywords?

There are a few things to keep in mind.

First, think about what your website is about. What topics does it cover?

Then, research what keywords people are using to find information on those topics. You can use tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest to help you discover which keywords are being searched for the most.

4. Persuasive texts

After having contracted the domain and hosting services, the creative stages come. Persuasive texts are necessary for web pages to be effective. The text should be well written and organized and easy to read and understand.

For this reason, before taking action to create your web page, it is important that you analyze your competition and plan some copywriting texts that are aimed at promoting your service or product with the right words to convince people that reach your final goal (a sale, a download, etc.).

In addition, these texts can also contain keywords that help position the web in Google (SEO positioning).

5. Logo

The logo is one of the most important elements of a web page.

It can help businesses create a unique and lasting impression with their customers as it can help a business stand out from the competition and create a positive image for its brand. There are some basic things to keep in mind when designing a logo, such as its simplicity, color scheme, and font.

Even so, as I always tell my web design training students, if you are just starting out in this world and still don’t have anything clear, opt for fonts that are consistent with your product, service, and audience, and the investment part will come.

If, on the other hand, your company is consolidated in your sector, the corporate image is essential, so good branding for your business will be essential for its success. DesignEvo is a helpful logo designer for starters. It’s one of my favorite tools because I’m not a pro in this design area.

6. Real pictures

When creating a web page, it is important to include real images to help convey the project’s message. You can use stock images to start with, but my advice is always to be as transparent as possible and use relevant images.

If possible, take your own photos or find free stock photos that can be used legally. But yes, do not forget this part since it will be essential for your website to look beautiful.

7. The web and its design

Here is the heart of the matter: the creation of your website. The options to carry out the design are:

Has it been done by a designer or agency? For this, you can see our portfolio here.

But what is needed to design and develop a web page?

Content management system

A CMS or content management system is software that helps you create and manage the content of your website, so it is necessary to have one to create the page.

There are many different CMS available, both free and paid. The most popular free CMS is WordPress, while the most popular paid CMS is Adobe Experience Manager.

But how to choose it?

You must take into account your needs and level of experience, but my advice is that you use WordPress for the ability to create any type of page within, in addition to being the most used, as I have mentioned.

Remember that a well-designed web page will help attract more visitors and make them stay longer on the site.

Web Constructor

After choosing your CMS, you must choose a template and layout to launch your website. My favorite builder, without a doubt, is Elementor Pro, which allows you to create a web page very easily.

This is not the only one that exists in the market since you can find other very good ones such as Divi, ThriveArchitect, Gutenberg (WordPress’s own), etc.

8. Website maintenance and administration

If the choice of platform is clear, this step will be very easy.

Worry about making a good choice because the administration and maintenance of the web will depend on that. It is advisable to have the services of a person who is in charge of managing and keeping your website up to date to avoid possible scares.

What tasks will need to be carried out to maintain your website? In this post, I will explain it to you, along with the rates.

9. Website promotion strategy

Digital marketing is the great forgotten when someone creates a website from scratch, which is that a web page does not sell. Therefore, it is important that before starting all this, we are clear about what we will do to promote the website and get customers.

When it comes to building a website, there are a few key things that are needed to make it successful.

The first thing is a good web design, which means having a site that is easy to navigate and looks professional.

Next up is search engine optimization (SEO). This involves optimizing the website to appear higher on search engine results pages.

Finally, it is important to have a strong social media presence. This means having accounts on popular social media platforms and regularly posting original, impactful content.

Once you have chosen some good keywords, you will need to include them in your website with the correct structure.
