Which Drug Test Is Most Accurate

According to a recent survey, employers want a safe and healthy workforce. So, according to a recent survey, two-thirds of employers test workers’ drug use,  which test method  is most effective?

Medical Card : 

Medical card is an identification card used by patients to enter medical dispensaries & buy the plant to treat their health problems.

Currently, there are  three main ways to collect samples :

  • According to background check firm Hire Right, 90% of employers use the most common urine to date. 
  • 10 percent of employers use saliva. 
  • Hair used by 7% of employers.

Urinalysis is currently the only approved workplace drug testing method subject to federal guidelines.  David Bell,  CEO of USA Mobile Drug Testing, a drug testing provider in Tampa, Florida, says collecting samples is easy and can test many illicit and prescription drugs. According to Simo, he explained how to cheat in the test. “Urine as a sample is very easy to operate. Literally hundreds of websites  sell adulterants and synthetic urine, which can be purchased by anyone who can avoid urinary drug testing programs.”  But , Cheating may not be so easy. Bell states that  employers typically do not monitor workers during sample collection, increasing the risk of tampering. “It is difficult to tamper with the urine screen because temperature, pH and creatinine are checked to ensure sample integrity. Attempts to dilute the urine sample are inconclusive and produce only samples that need to be retested. It will not be.”

Belle said that oral fluid tests can be collected on-site immediately, improving efficiency and reducing collection time and costs. “This test can detect recent use only if the urine test needs to pass through the  system and identify them.”

 The saliva test is very attractive, Niemann agrees. Did. Testers can take an FDA-approved swab test in the field, observe the sample collection (make it difficult to destroy), and send it for lab  confirmation. However, some states and regions restrict or prohibit onsite testing, so employers should be aware of the laws that apply to them. Due to the small detection window (minutes to about 48 hours), oral tests are likely to catch chronic daily users, according to Simo. “These are the people you want to deter and keep away from your workplace because they pose the most imminent risk.” 

 However, the limited detection window is also a drawback. “We can only detect drug use that has occurred in the last few days,” Bell said.

The hair drug test is a simple, non-invasive method for detecting drug use over time and is most effective when testing  regular use of drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamines, and opiates. These medications may not be detected in the urine after 3-4 days. 

 “Hairtesting is one of the most feared deterrents,” Simo said. “Employers who promote hair testing scare drug addict applicants who are just  away. Normal consumers can’t prepare for it.”  On the other hand, it usually detects sporadic usage. He said he wouldn’t do a good job to do. 

 And “the days just before the test aren’t really covered because it takes time for the hair to grow,” Niemann said.

And the winner of the most accurate drug test is … please drum roll … blood test. Blood tests are considered accurate and comprehensive, although they can be more disturbing than other methods.  Hair  and sweat tests can be particularly inferior when it comes to accuracy. External contact with drugs, or even  drug smoke, can cause false positives.  Note that all of the above options  have a high level of accuracy. However, if you need the most accurate options available, a blood test is the best choice.
