Under the direction of the education minister, the Keralan education department made the following decisions.

  • The classification of schools based on a variety of criteria is the duty of the education department.
  • Kerala’s education government oversees private schools by monitoring their tuition costs.
  • In locations where it is necessary, the plans for building new schools will always include the education department.
  • The education department is also in charge of maintaining the current educational facilities.
  • To admit pupils, all private schools inside the state must be approved by the state.
  • The Kerala Education Board lists student admission, transfer, and dismissal policies. These regulations, however, may occasionally be modified.
  • At the start of each academic year, the education department is in charge of notifying the attendance information, holiday dates, and vacation dates.
  • To quickly confirm that the laws and regulations are being followed, the education department also conducts unexpected inspections of the schools.
  • Every state will have some schools that, for various reasons, cannot continue providing instruction to students. The education department takes over all such schools, which also ensures that the infrastructure is not thrown away.
