Brief Introduction
Ritika Aima hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has secured AIR 33 in UPSC CSE Examination which was announced in 2024. In her previous attempt she had secured AIR 186 in this examination. She has done most of her schooling from there only and her graduation was in MBBS from Government Medical College Haldwani, Uttarakhand. This was her 3rd attempt in this examination. Her Optional subject was Anthropology.
Strategy
Ritika has realized that in this examination the most important is Mains. She started preparing for this exam in 2020. She did her preparation from her home only. She started her preparation from basic books like NCERTs and books recommended by toppers. She also watched online YouTube videos and made notes from them. She also gave much of her time to the static portion of the syllabus which helped her to write very good answers in the examination.
She made short notes for the current affairs part from online videos and coaching institutes websites and she used to listen to them while walking which helped her to revise it properly. She also referred to the Monthly magazine of current affairs of coaching institutes. She also solved many previous year question papers and revised them a lot and made notes of the topics which she had less materials from coaching websites and books.
For answer writing, she watched online classes on YouTube to make a proper strategy which helped her to write well structured answers, which ultimately helped her to save a lot of time in the actual examination. She also focused on improving her weakness by analyzing and solving mock tests.
She gave advice to aspirants on making the static portion very strong as it will help to understand the current affairs part also and she also focused on making own notes and revising them multiple times. Apart from that, she preferred to keep limited resources. She also gave advice to prepare static and current affairs parts together and make interlinkages which will help in the answer writing. She also focused on knowing the strength and weakness of your preparation which plays a very crucial role during your preparation.

Hobbies
Ritika has a hobby of strength training which was there in National Police Academy when she went there for her training.
Conclusion
Ritika Aima’s journey was very wonderful and smooth. It’s not that it was easy and there was no struggle, but the important thing is she enjoyed her struggle and that’s how she managed to achieve so many marvelous things in her life.
This is a testament of her hard work, honesty, integrity and perseverance which can be seen and taken as an inspiration that we should deal with the things with a light mood and enjoy the process and not take failures very seriously rather learn from it and improve ourselves. She is determined to work for the betterment of the rural population of the country by providing access to better health care facilities, transportation facilities and many more things.
