However, it was a year later, in 1984, that she made a major breakthrough by landing the starring role as Sgt Dee Dee McCall in the extremely popular crime drama “Hunter.” Although the show initially had a rough start, it was then broadcasted for seven consecutive seasons with Kramer starring in six of them. In 1989, Kramer told Jay Leno that she had not expected that the show she landed a role in would last as long as it did and indeed, very grateful for it doing so as it also gained her immense popularity. Kramer began working with Mike Post, the composer who had penned the music for “Hunter,” on a rock album, which she announced, would be released in 1987. However, no album was released and in the year 1990. Kramer announced that she was leaving “Hunter” behind.
