As a kid, her parents took her and her brothers on various adventures which would end at the New York theatre museum. She had been exposed to Broadway productions since she was a kid. All these activities only intensified her hunger for acting. Her role models as a kid were Lucille Ball, Carol Burnet, and Mary Tyler. Then at the age of 10 yrs, she realized it was the screen job for her or it’d be nothing else.

At a young age, she became one of the founding members of the theatre of Newburyport which she joined to continue her dream of acting. But lack of proper guidance made her lose her way. She would ditch school and spend her day smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee.

Later, after she enjoyed the Williamstown Film festival, she moved to New York to chase her dream which finally paid off. It was in the year 1986 when she got her first-ever role as a series regular in the ABC daytime soap opera Loving. Her role was of Charlotte ‘Lotty’ Bates Alden in the show.

Judith Hoag Famous Quotes:

Judith said in an interview that “I think that you have to be prepared to pick yourself back up. It’s about being able to bounce back. It’s not the kindest industry to be in, but it’s about going back and finding those opportunities and working towards them. You also need someone around you as a good support system. I really like working with younger actors and actresses, and it’s definitely about having faith in yourself, knowing you can do it, and just working through it because it’s a business that’s not always fair. I believe in mindset and you have to go in with the right attitude to keep at it.”
