This was his first step toward a beautiful skateboarding career.  Some years down the line, Dyrdek and Blender together walked away from their sponsor and birthed Alien Workshop. At the age of 16, Dyrdek chose to let go of his senior high school year and moved to Southern California in order to continue his professional skateboarding career. Dyrdek began to ride for Droors Clothing, the precursor to DC Shoes after he moved to California.
